Dear all,
I would like to create a tool that deletes the link between 2 objects. Everything works fine if the actual user has the permission to delete the link. If not, the interpreter throws an error. I would like to avoid this by checking for permissions. If the user is in the right group and has at least MCD access rights for both the source and target object, the script tries to delete the link, if not a message prompts up that no access permission. My problem is the following: two different user, but both of them are in the same groups and have the same permissions (RMCDA) for the objects. One of them can delete links while the other can't. How can this happen? What do I miss? We use DOORS 9.2.

Re: Permission to delete links Janos;
Check the permissions to the LINK MODULE that is used between the linked modules...that too has to have the users rights set properly |
Re: Permission to delete links How about using the canDelete function? bool canDelete(Link l) string canDelete(Link l) It's in the DXL manual under Link access control |

Check the permissions to the LINK MODULE that is used between the linked modules...that too has to have the users rights set properly Thanks for the answer! Is the following right? Minimum rights: - Create links: "RMC" on Link Module and Source Module, "R" on Target Module - Delete links: "RMD" on Link Module and Source Module, "R" on Target Module |
